There amidst the cut orchids, roses and lillies, this gentle giant finds peace from days of brutal Wall Street acquisitions and nights filled with Punk Rock insanity.
Matt McGowan has been gifted with all the attributes it takes to make one a star: an athletic build, a blistering attack on the fretboard, a cocky attitude and a tremendous amateur background. McGowan was a talented high school football star but quickly turned to the decadent world of glam rock where he played his BC Rich Mockingbird guitar with all of the intensity that he had previously brought to the gridiron. Still, Matt didn't have it all. In his blind climb to the top of the skinny, coked-out, rocker heap, he had foolishly shed massive amounts of weight -- trimming down from 236 to a mere 173 pounds! McGowan turned to the one figure he knew who could help him regain the BULK needed to GAIN THE MOUNT ON SUCCESS. That man was COUNT DANTE. Today, Matt McGowan brings his mastery of the Boston Crab and his DiMarzio pickup powered fury to the Black Dragon Fighting Society where he cranks out heavy guitar riffs in his ongoing quest for excellence.
HONORARY GUITARIST
During his short tenure with the Black Dragon Fighting Society "The Mercenary" infused the band with a nationalist fighting spirit that rivaled the military might of America. Clad in camouflage, Franklin unleashed a powerful 6-string barrage with his DiMarzio-powered, American-Made Fender Strat that made West Coast audiences proclaim him to possess the playing prowess of any ten Guitar Center salesman. Side-by-side with THE COUNT, the two became an unstoppable tag team in the battle for rock and roll. But then one day, the Mercenary left as mysteriously as he had appeared. His impact is still felt by the BDFS today, and much like General McArthur before him HE SHALL RETURN.

After contributing mightily to Count Dante's meteoric rise, Andy "The Beast" Davis found that he could no longer lead the life of ballistic street combat required by membership in the Black Dragon Fighting Society. "The Beast" no longer, Davis has forgone the style of Wah-Wah Do that he created and has devoted himself to the practice of reflective meditation and the creation of new and more potent herbal remedies. |
